On Tuesday, March 7th, John and Cindy McKee presented a program on butterflies in the Rio Grande Valley for those who were interested in learning more about these beautiful and fascinating insects. The program was followed by a walk through the thicket.

John and Cindy are both Texas Master Naturalists with many years of experience in exploring the natural world and are particularly focused on its birds, butterflies, and dragonflies.

We had a wonderful turnout. Stay tuned for more nature based programs coming to Frontera Audubon.

Excellent turnout for Bill Clark: The Fascination of Turkey Vultures on Tuesday, Jan 24th. We get asked all the time about the “buzzards” flying around Frontera. We’re happy some of these visitors made it over to learn from the raptor expert himself!

Kids Craft Class: Thursday, December 22, 2022

A big thank you to Connie Munoz for coming over and teaching a fun holiday craft class on Thursday, December 22! Kiddos made snow globe Christmas cards and learned about Cardinals in the process. ✨️
