Frontera Audubon’s Birdathon 2022!

Frontera’s Birdathon 2022 is in the record books. Three teams participated this year, searching for birds all over the Valley from January 30 to February 6.

The Results Are In!

• The Wandering Warblers (Angelina Vasquez & Isidro Montemayor):
96 species

• The Batty Falcons (Norma Friedrich, Patricia Heirs, & Mary Beth Stowe):
116 species

• The Solitary Sandpipers (Cindy and John McKee):
144 species

All three teams reported having lots of fun and only wish the weather would have been a little warmer. Mary Beth has a website where you can see the places that she has been to bird. It includes a nice section on Frontera Audubon.

We at Frontera are extremely grateful for all our supporters that have helped us out this past year. Our November Fundraiser (Frontera Fest) was a great success, the 2021 Annual Appeal is turning out to be bigger and better than last year, and now you have another chance to donate to our Birdathon. We are still accepting pledges and donations! You can donate a set amount for one or more of the teams, or you can pledge a certain amount per species seen by a team. Call, visit our website or visit us at Frontera and donate there! Thank you!
